Fuel prices

Hi all. We recently had to increase our pricing due to the sudden and significant increase in fuel prices hitting Melbourne but thanks to the Federal Government cutting the fuel excise by 22c per litre and the fuel companies passing that cut on as rapidly as they have, we can happily announce today that we can take back some of that price increase.

In case you are not aware, Translocal charges partly by distance and partly by time. You can find a detailed explanation of our pricing on the pricing page. When we recently had to increase our rates the distance component became $1.94 per Km. Today we are reducing that rate to $1.76 per Km.

To demonstrate the difference this change will make, under the increased rate before today a job travelling 5 Km that could be completed within 1 hour would have cost $39.70. Today that same job would cost $38.80.

A job travelling say from Melton to Bacchus Marsh over 16 Km would have cost $61, today $58.16.

A job travelling say 20 Km from Deer Park to Melton would have cost $68.80, today that same job would cost $65.20.

And a job travelling 71 Km from Brighton to Bacchus Marsh would have cost $168, today $155.

We are pleased to be able to pass these savings on to our customers and look forward to serving you in the near future.

Regards

The Translocal Team.
