What areas do you service?

We’re based in Melton, Victoria, and service all surrounding towns and suburbs, the greater Melbourne area and beyond. Get more information about our service area here.

So are you a removalist or a delivery service?

Translocal is primarily a removalist service that also provides delivery services but we do both very well.

Do you do interstate or long-distance removals?

Our focus is local and regional Victoria, but we may accommodate longer moves on request. Get in touch to discuss your needs.

For delivery services, do you collect items bought online or from Facebook Marketplace?

Yes! If you’ve purchased something on Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree, or eBay and can’t transport it yourself, we’ll pick it up and deliver it safely to your door.

Can you pick up my purchases from a retail store like the Good Guys or Fantastic Furniture?

Yes! Most retailers will allow you to have us collect for you. Usually we just need you to send us a copy of your invoice as proof that we are authorised to collect and to be sure we get the right delivery.

Why use Translocal if the retailer offers delivery?

Because often we are cheaper, can do it sooner and because our customers trust us to deliver their goods safely.

Why should I use Translocal and not just rent a trailer, ute or truck?

Because we are often less expensive than trailer, ute or truck hire but even when we are not, you don’t have the hassle of picking up and returning the trailer, ute or truck AND you have our help to get the job done.

What kind of vehicles do you use?

We have an enclosed box body truck For removals work and deliveries that require that level of protection and a tray ute for loads more appropriately transported that way.

Can you help with furniture disassembly / reassembly?

Yes. We can assist with basic furniture assembly and disassembly. Just let us know in advance if you need this kind of help so we can make sure we have the appropriate tools with us. Additional charges may apply.

Do you work weekends or outside normal hours?

Yes, we offer weekend bookings and can sometimes accommodate after-hours requests depending on availability.

Do you do short-notice or same-day bookings?

Yes — subject to availability, Obviously the more notice you can give us the better but often we can arrange same-day deliveries across Melton and surrounding suburbs.

I own a business that needs to deliver goods to my customers. What can Translocal do for me?

Deliveries is one of those things that is often better outsourced. Depending on how many deliveries you do it may be more cost effective to use us than to operate your own vehicle and definitely less stress and hassle.

What else will you deliver?

If it fits on the ute or in the truck we will deliver it. Except for dangerous goods, we don’t do that but anything that doesn’t burn explode or corrode is good. But seriously, if you need it delivered and we can get it onboard then it can be delivered.

What kind of payment options do you have?

Cash, card (mobile EFTPOS for credit or debit card), Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer and we can even email you an invoice which you can pay securely online from the comfort of your own computer or smart phone.
