Online buyer / seller
This is kind of how Translocal started out. Listing our services in the Facebook Marketplace so people who don’t have access to a suitable vehicle or someone to help out could still shop and get what they needed in these online marketplaces. People like the elderly, single parents or anyone else who just needs a hand.
Today this is still a core part of our business and we are glad to enable access to the online marketplaces for these people as well as providing a better option for everyone else.
But even if you are buying from traditional retailers such as furniture or electrical goods stores remember, we are often cheaper than the stores own delivery so before you pay their delivery charge, call us first.
The general mover
Whether it’s the BBQ you are lending to a mate or the couch you’ve decided to give to the kids. Translocal is ready to move your items for you quickly, conveniently and for a reasonable price.
We all have those times when we need to shift larger items and have to go through the hassle of hiring a trailer or borrowing a mates ute. Now there’s a better option.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I use Translocal and not just hire a trailer or a ute?
Because for shorter more local jobs we are usually less expensive than trailer or ute hire but even when we are not, you don't have the hassle of picking up and returning the trailer or ute. Plus you have our help to get the job done.
Do you only operate in Melton or do you service other areas?
We used to say that a job would need to start in, end in or pass through Melton but we will go outside our operating area if the customer is prepared to pay a little extra to cover the dead (unpaid) miles we would need to travel. The best way to find out is ask.
If I buy an item say, in the Facebook marketplace and hire Translocal to deliver it, can I get you to pay for the item and fix you up when you deliver?
Not yet! For the moment the purchase of the item is between you and the seller, we only deal with delivery. But we might have something in the pipeline. Watch this space.
What payment methods do you have?
Our drivers are equipped with mobile EFTPOS terminals which means you can pay using your credit or debit card or even with your mobile phone if you use Apple Pay or Google Pay. We also have the ability to send you an invoice by email which you can pay securely online from the comfort of your own computer or smart phone and of course we also accept cash.
